Esoteric Acupuncture, founded by Dr. Mikio Sankey, Ph.D., L.Ac is an emerging branch of the ancient Chinese Acupuncture practice focused on creating energy balance in the body to live an overall happy, healthy, and fulfilling life.
What is Esoteric Acupuncture?
Esoteric Acupuncture is an acupuncture practice of clearing and balancing the energy spin points in the body (Chakras) using sacred geometric patterns and a sequence of needle placement.

There are 7 on-body chakras, each corresponding to the bundle of nerves, organs and body parts located within close proximity. Thus, it is important that the Chakras are balanced and ‘open’ for our mental, physical, emotional health and vitality.
Chakras trace back their roots in Ayurvedic Medicine which is an ancient Hindu alternative medicine system. Ayurveda originated more than 3,000 years ago in India and is known to be the oldest holistic healing system in the world. It works on the principle that our mind, body, and soul need to be in balance and work in alignment with each other for our overall health and wellness.
Esoteric Acupuncture combines the principles of Ayurveda with Acupuncture. It is performed by placing needles in sacred geometric patterns on the body to open up the chakras and expand consciousness to strengthen the body, mind, and soul.

Sacred Geometric Grids of Energy
Process of Esoteric Acupuncture
Step 1: You will be asked to lie face-down on the massage table and relax.
Step 2: The practitioner carries out Chakras analysis on your back and finalizes the sacred geometric patterns to be sequenced on your back for this session.
Step 3: Acupuncture needles are placed on your back in the identified geometric pattern (Tetrahedron being the most common one) following a specific sequence. Guided visualization may be used by the practitioner based on whether it is seen as required or not.
Step 4: You will be left alone in the treatment room for about 30-40 minutes to allow the needles to stimulate the healing energy and for you to reach a deep meditative state. The practitioner might also put some soft meditative music and essential oils in the room, elevating the healing state.
Step 5: Upon the practitioner’s return, the same process is repeated with the face-up with needle placement retained for 15-20 minutes.
What is the duration of an Esoteric Acupuncture session?
One Esoteric Acupuncture session typically lasts about 80 to 90 minutes.
How many Esoteric Acupuncture sessions are needed for optimal results?
For treatment or therapeutic purposes, one Esoteric Acupuncture session every 21 days is usually recommended as an alternative treatment alongside the ongoing treatments.
For enhancing self-awareness and body energy fields, you can undergo an Esoteric Acupuncture session once a month to amplify the potential of each session.
